This is our story
Thanks for coming.
The goal of this blog is to get to show you a piece of my life. A life that is very full, as I have been richly blessed in my role as wife & mother .
Before becoming a wife, mother and professional photographer, I spent years writing and performing music.
In fact, I met my husband as well as my dearest friends along that journey.
I credit those relationships to helping shape me into the person I am today.
My husband and I were writing partners and friends before it progressed into where we are now.
I also landed a job at Billboard Magazine. I was living the dream.
My husband and I lived in Beverly Hills, CA for years before becoming parents. When I got pregnant with our oldest daughter,
we decided to move outside of the city and reevaluate our life plan.
Oh how things have changed!
We currently live in a suburb about 30 minutes outside of Los Angeles. This change of pace not only afforded me the opportunity to be home with the children whenever they need me, it also afforded me to make changes professionally .
Shortly after our second child was born , my business Earth Tone Photography was as well.
We are now blessed with 3 daughters. Olivia, Simone, & Laila. Each 2 years apart
Music is still a huge part of our household as my husband continues to write and compose music. The girls are very musical as well. They help daddy out in the studio when given the opportunity. Sometimes they just take it. 🙂
I just sing my heart out on a daily basis to feel fulfilled musically for now,
as being a full time professional photographer, photography teacher , wife and mommy keeps my calendar full.
There are a couple other things that have had a huge impact on our lives that this blog will touch upon.
Celiac Disease (a gluten intolerance) & Epilepsy.
I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2003 and I have been gluten free ever since.
Although it’s easier to live with now, it hasn’t always been this way.
I hope to share some of my experiences and maybe even some of my favorite recipes here .
Olivia our oldest was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2008 and currently still has it. We are prayerful that she will outgrow it.
Olivia’s new years resolution for 2014 was to create awareness for Epilepsy. My intention for this blog is to help her in doing this.
I have found healing, peace and support in sharing.
I hope by doing so here, I can connect with some of you in the same way.
Thank you again for visiting and connecting!
